Coda Monoboards(monoskis), Snowboards, Skis, and Topsheets
MONOBOARDS

CODA's singular carving monoboards deliver to you a fully-customized ride that can hold an edge through the deepest of carves, while our new, traditional pattern monoskis deliver a new level of enjoyment to more familar riding styles.  CODA carving boards feature an aggressive radius sidecut for superior edge hold, CODA's adjustable tension tail-cable innovation for the extreme of variable-flex performance, and CODA's Deep-V swallow-tail for decreased drag and a lower tail-end ride in powder.  Of course, all CODA boards include complete graphics customization printed in-house for the fastest turnaround.  With CODA your ride will be truly one-of-a-kind.

Please be sure to visit our graphics section before configuring your board.  Whether you choose a finished graphic from the CODA Select gallery offerings, or choose to design your own graphic, you will need to indicate your choice during checkout.  Graphic uploads occur after completion of your purchase, or at your convenience using our graphics upload page.

Deck design modifications beyond graphics customization are possible by special order.  Want a board wider, longer, or stranger than what you see listed?  Just ask, and we'll see what we can do.  All CODA boards are individually hand-crafted after you place your order.  Some minor cosmetic blemishes do occasionally surface from this hands-on process.  Also, take note of the new options for a metal dampening layer and snowboard hole patterns!

Sidewinder monoski SIDEWINDER MONOSKISidewinder monoski:  $550
Sidewinder Monoski + Bomber Bindings:  $720
with DIY graphic:  +$50
with snowboard hole inserts:  +$50

Sidewinder enlarge buy sidewinderThe Sidewinder Monoski is a traditionally patterned, solid-tail mono:

•  185 cm. length
•  23 cm. wide at the tip
•  19 cm. across at the bindings
•  22 cm. across at the tail

In response to market demands CODA has taken some popular monoski shapes and added CODA style to them! The first ski to be released is the Sidewinder.  The 4x4 binding insert package for non-release bindings comes standard, but we will accomodate any hole pattern you need.  Check your preferred bindings and contact us if you need a different configuration.
This is a great ski for giant GS riding, but it also handles well in the steeps and the bumps. This is a ski for aggressive riders who like to go fast!

CODA recommends Bomber Elite Non-Release skiboard bindings (see below) for exceptional performance.  Add them to your board purchase when configuring your custom board order to get them at the board-combo discount price.  We also offer the snowboard hole pattern option (see below).  With this model, the metal dampening option comes standard with the regular purchase price.

Construction:  Horizontal laminate wood core, 22 oz triax glass, aluminum alloy, and the CODA hybrid cap/sidewall construction.

with DIY graphic:  +$50
with snowboard hole inserts:  +$50
with metal dampening:  +$100

V-0 angle view1V-0 angle view2V-0 with bindings buy monoThe V-Zero is the original carving "Tool" that started it all:

•  10 meter sidecut radius  [ see model comparison chart ]
•  170 cm. long with an effective edge of 166 cm.
•  24.5 cm. across at the tip and tail
•  19.5 cm. across at the bindings

The V-0 is a very stable board that is quick edge to edge and has an excellent hold in all conditions.  The V-zero is probably the best board for beginners and traditional monoskiers new to carving.  The V-zero gives the quick response of a CODA carving board, while allowing for the possibility of the wash out familiar to those accustomed to old-school monoski slide technique.
However, these are just accomodations, as the V-zero design first and foremost targets high-speed, deep carving.  It performs aggressively riding bumps, chutes, and freestyle snowboard parks.  A great all mountain board.  Like all our boards, the Deep V in the tail allows the tail to sink in the powder, effectively lifting the nose and making it rock out in the deep snow as no plain tail monoski ever can.

CODA recommends Bomber Elite Non-Release skiboard bindings (see below) for exceptional performance.  Add them to your board purchase when configuring your custom board order to get them at the board-combo discount price.  We also offer the options of snowboard hole patterns and metal dampening (see below).

V-0-XL monoski V-O-XL MONOBOARDV-O-XL monoboard:  $599
V-O-XL monoboard + Bomber Bindings:  $720
with DIY graphic:  +$50
with snowboard hole inserts:  +$50
with metal dampening:  +$100

V-0-XL angle view 1V-0 angle view 2V-0-XL with bindings but monoThe V-Zero XL is a longer version of the
original carving "Tool" that started it all:

•  10 meter sidecut radius  [ see model comparison chart ]
•  185 cm. long with an effective edge of 181 cm.
•  25.5 cm. across at the tip and tail
•  19.5 cm. across at the bindings

The V-0-XL is a very stable board that is quick edge to edge and has an excellent hold in all conditions.  The advantages of the V-0-XL over the original V-0 are similar to the advantages of traditional snow ski longer lengths over shorter lengths.  For a rider with the physical build for a longer effective riding edge, the V-0-XL distributes the weight of a rider over a longer edge, for less drag and a faster ride.  Turning a longer edge, however, may be a more difficult task for a rider of slight build.
The V-zero gives the quick response of a CODA carving board, while allowing for the possibility of the wash out familiar to those accustomed to old-school monoski slide technique.  These are just accomodations, however, as the primary goal of the V-0-XL design is deep, high-speed carving. Like all our boards, the Deep V in the tail allows the tail to sink in the powder, effectively lifting the nose and making it rock out in the deep snow as no traditional tail monoski ever can.

CODA recommends Bomber Elite Non-Release skiboard bindings (see below) for exceptional performance.  Add them to your board purchase when configuring your custom board order to get them at the board-combo discount price.  We also offer the options of snowboard hole patterns and metal dampening (see below).

V two ten monoski V-2-10 MONOBOARDV-2-10 monoboard:  $499
V-2-10 monoboard + Bomber Bindings:  $669
with DIY graphic:  +$50
with snowboard hole inserts:  +$50
with metal dampening:  +$100

V-2-10 angle view 1V-2 angle view2V-2-10 with bindings purchaseThe V-2-10 is a wider version of V-0:

•  2 cm. wider than the V-0
•  10 meter sidecut radius  [ see model comparison chart ]
•  170 cm. long with an effective edge of 166 cm.
•  27.5 cm. across at the tip and tail
•  21.5 cm. across at the bindings

The extra width of the V-2-10 allows for deeper carving without hitting your boots on the snow and gives extra surface area for a higher ride in powder.  The wider board does make it less quick from edge to edge than the V-0, but instead encourages long, deep carves without "booting out."
This is a carving board.  The V-2-10 is the board currently preferred by most of the CODA staff and prototype beta testers.
The V-2-10 offers the quick response of a CODA carving board, with good resistance to the wash out familiar to those accustomed to old-school monoski slide technique.  It performs aggressively riding bumps, chutes, and freestyle snowboard parks.  A great all mountain board.  Like all our boards, the Deep V in the back half allows the tail to sink in the powder, effectively lifting the nose and making it rock out in the deep snow as no plain tail monoski ever can.

CODA recommends Bomber Elite Non-Release skiboard bindings (see below) for exceptional performance.  Add them to your board purchase when configuring your custom board order to get them at the board-combo discount price.  We also offer the options of snowboard hole patterns and metal dampening (see below).

V-2-9 monoski V-2-9 MONOBOARDV-2-9 monoboard:  $499

with DIY graphic:  +$50
with snowboard hole inserts:  +$50
with metal dampening:  +$100

V-2-9 angle view 1V-2-9 angle view 2V-2-9 with bindings buy V-2-9The V-2-9 is the same board as the V-2-10,
with the same breadth at the bindings,
but with a smaller, 9 meter sidecut radius for much sharper turns:

•  2 cm. wider than the V-0
•  9 meter sidecut radius  [ see model comparison chart ]
•  170 cm. long with an effective edge of 166 cm.
•  28.5 cm. across at the tip and tail
•  21.5 cm. across at the bindings

The tighter curve of the V-2-9 sidecut makes for a very quick, sharply carving ride that might feel a bit squirrelly to inexperienced riders.  Like the v-2-10, the extra width of the V-2-9 allows for deeper carving than the V-0, facilitating turns without hitting boot sides on the snow.  The expanded width also gives extra surface area for a higher ride in powder.

This is an aggressive carving board.

The V-2-9 offers a quicker response than other CODA carving boards, with high resistance to the wash out familiar to those accustomed to old-school monoski slide technique.  It performs aggressively while riding hard-pack and race courses.  Like all our boards, the Deep V in the rear half allows the tail to sink in the powder, effectively lifting the nose and making it rock out in the deep snow as no plain tail monoski ever can.

CODA recommends Bomber Elite Non-Release skiboard bindings (see below) for exceptional performance.  Add them to your board purchase when configuring your custom board order to get them at the board-combo discount price.  We also offer the options of snowboard hole patterns and metal dampening (see below).

V-2-sm monoski V-2-SM MONOBOARDV-2-SM monoboard:  $499
V-2-SM monoboard + Bomber Bindings:  $669
with DIY graphic:  +$50
with snowboard hole inserts:  +$50
with metal dampening:  +$100

V-2-SM angle view 1V-2-SM angle view 2V-2-SM with bindings buy V-2-SMThe V-2-SM is the same board as the V-2-10,
with the same breadth at the bindings,
but with a shorter length for smaller riders:

•  2 cm. wider than the V-0
•  10 meter sidecut radius  [ see model comparison chart ]
•  150 cm. long with an effective edge of 146 cm.
•  26.75 cm. across at the tip and tail
•  21.5 cm. across at the bindings

The shorter length of the V-2-sm offers a more manageable ride for riders of smaller stature.  Its shorter edge length makes for a board with less resistance to turning.  The decrease in weight resulting from 20cm less board material than the V-2-10 diminishes the overall weight of the board for easier control.  Larger riders may find this board slow on open runs and hard-pack, while riding deeper and slower in powder.
This is a size small, hence the model designation.  The reduced size of the V-2-sm also offers increased positioning performance in mogul riding .  Like the V-2-10, the extra width of the V-2-sm allows for deeper carving than the V-0, facilitating turns without hitting boot sides on the snow.  The expanded width also gives extra surface area for a higher ride in powder.

Like all our boards, the Deep V in the back half allows the tail to sink in the powder, effectively lifting the nose and, for riders of appropriate build, making it rock out in the deep snow as no plain tail monoski ever can.

CODA recommends Bomber Elite Non-Release skiboard bindings (see below) for exceptional performance.  Add them to your board purchase when configuring your custom board order to get them at the board-combo discount price.  We also offer the options of snowboard hole patterns and metal dampening (see below).

V-3 monoski V-3 MONOBOARDV-3 monoboard:  $499
V-3 monoboard + Bomber Bindings:  $669
with DIY graphic:  +$50
with snowboard hole inserts:  +$50
with metal dampening:  +$100

V-3 angle view 1V-3 angle view 2V-3 with bindings V-3 with bindingsThe V-3 is 1 cm. wider than the V-2 boards
and 3 cm. wider than the V-0, for extreme carving
without the boot-to-snow contact of "booting out":

•  10 meter sidecut radius  [ see model comparison chart ]
•  170 cm. long with an effective edge of 166 cm.
•  28.5 cm. across at the tip and tail
•  23 cm. across at the bindings

The V-3 is a very stable board that is moderate in transition from edge to edge.  It delivers excellent hold in all conditions.  The primary advantage of the V-3 stems from the combination of a carving 10 meter sidecut with a waist broad enough that a rider's boots won't hit the snow no matter how deep the carve.
The V-3 is a cruising board.  While still capable of deep carves characteristic of CODA boards, the V-3 is noticeably slower in transition from edge to edge than the V-0 and V-2 series boards.
However, the increased surface area of the wider board yields a higher powder ride for wonderful performance in deep snow conditions.  Like all CODA boards, the Deep V in the rear half allows the tail to sink in the powder, effectively lifting the nose and making it rock out in the deep snow as no plain tail monoski ever can.

CODA recommends Bomber Elite Non-Release skiboard bindings (see below) for exceptional performance.  Add them to your board purchase when configuring your custom board order to get them at the board-combo discount price.  We also offer the options of snowboard hole patterns and metal dampening (see below).

It is the Deep V Junior.

•  10 meter sidecut radius  [ see model comparison chart ]
•  available in 5 cm. increment lengths between 110cm. and 140 cm.
•  108 cm. is the shortest length available
•  shorter lengths are not equipped with a tail cable

If you have been looking for a mono for you child, then here it is.
     The CODA V-Junior.
The V-J is available in 5 cm. increment lengths between 110 cm. and 140 cm, with one additional, shortest length option of 108 cm.  The V-J includes a Deep V swallow tail for characteristic CODA performance in powder, but the tail-cable is not mounted on shorter board lengths, as shortening the branches of the Deep V configuration reduces the efficacy of the tail-cable.  On such short boards, variation in flex is nominal.
CODA does not offer bindings with the V-J.  For children, we recommend releasable bindings that fit compatibly with children's hard shell boots. The central binding brakes may need to be removed from standard ski bindings to fit the monoboard configuration.  Any ski shop should carry appropriate bindings and meet no difficulty mounting them on a V-J.
The same custom graphics options are available for V-J boards.     Choose any graphic from the CODA select gallery, and we will simply scale it down to size, free of charge.  If the CODA select graphic of your choice is marked unavailable, then check with us using the Graphics Modification Request form.  The "unavailable" marker may only apply to full sized boards, and the scaled down V-J version may still be available.
For a fully custom graphic, the design specifications on our DIY Graphics page also apply to the V-J.  Just use the V-J template matching your chosen length.  Then upload or mail the a CD-R of your graphic to us, as with any other CODA board order.

bindings angle view 1bindings angle view 2 buy bindings only     Strength & Stiffness - Bomber boasts warranty claims on fewer than .1% of their bindings since their introduction to the market.  The materials used to craft their amazing boot to board interfaces just don't break.  Bomber uses high grade aluminum, stainless steel fasteners, 1/4"(6.35mm) stainless steel bails, and small amounts of moon rock to make their bindings the stiffest and strongest available.  Bomber believes the flex of an alpine setup should come from the boots and not the bindings.  There is no benefit in alpine bindings with slop or play.  Bomber bindings give you increased responsiveness and greater control of your boards.

Suspension - The Elite elevated base plate allows for more natural board flex than any other bindings on the market.  Bomber has enhanced this feature with urethane elastomer bumpers (patented) that act as mini shock absorbers for your bindings.  The urethane material is specially formulated to absorb the vibration frequency that makes your board "chatter-out" on those hard packed turns.  User- friendly Bomber products will always have the end-user in mind.  It is for this reason that Bomber Elite Non-releasable bindings install, adjust, and service with a single 5mm Allen wrench.

CODA sells Bomber Elite Non-releasable bindings by themselves, or bundled with a CODA board purchase.  Add them to your CODA board purchase configuration for a $39 discount off the standalone price.

CODA metal dampening option

For discerning riders, Coda's metal construction option incorporates an aluminium alloy layer to improve dampening and edge-hold.  Metal construction with aluminium alloys such as AMAG's "Titanal"© aluminium alloy recently received increased attention during the 2006 Winter Olympics, but, actually, metal construction boards have been in production for more than 40 years.  Our own beta testers liked the nuanced improvement of metal construction.
